This type of guard was originally an aluminum forging with clear anodize surface finish. They are wider (about 64mm) than the later guards and somewhat shorter.

For our reproductions, the surface finish is highly polished for a similar look to the originals.

Our 356/356A guards are quality casting, with all exterior surfaces polished to perfection and either chrome plated or left natural finish.
