Whenever you have the pulleys off the generator shaft, check the condition of the pulley hub. Even slight wear will allow the pulley halves to wobble and possibly fracture. A new hub (and even a new inner pulley half) is good insurance against failure. Reassemble with just a touch of Never Seize.
