This interior mirror was unique for the 356B T-6 coupes with "break away" feature in which the mirror bracket was spring-loaded to a separate plate mounted to the body -- attachment is by three Phillips oval head screws. It was intended as a safety feature.

Also, the mirror head has a "day-night" feature with a flipper handle on the lower edge.
